I am married, I am content - Kareena Kapoor Khan

In the middle of a couple of cameos (Gabbar Is Back, Brothers) and an all-time blockbuster (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), Kareena Kapoor Khan is merrily enjoying her many vacations. Meanwhile, she has also wrapped up her Ki And Ka quickly while giving finishing touches to Udta Punjab. Even as one waits to see what she picks next, one can well imagine her to take off on yet another exotic vacation with hubby Saif Ali Khan. DNAIndia catch up with the lady who recently completed 15 years in the industry.

On Udta Punjab
The film releases early next year. It is set in the heartland of Punjab and belongs to a very different genre. It is a drug drama while being in the thriller zone. It has been shot in a real fashion by Abhishek Chaubey (Ishqiya). Moreover, the characters in the film are more real, yet different than anything you can imagine.

On new co-star Diljit Dosanjh
Our track is together. I think he is the film’s surprise package. It is so exciting to be working with him. He is a big superstar in Punjab. People love him. He is a brilliant actor and a lovely person. Our coming together brings in newness and freshness. I am glad that a Sardar is working in a Hindi film for the first time. In fact, I want to see his film Sardaarji that released a few weeks back. He was very excited when the film released and kept talking to me about it.
On Ki And Ka
We started on August 1 and wrapped up in October. It was a three-and-a-half month extensive schedule. It is an intimate movie, as is the case with all other Balki films. It has a certain vibe to it. It’s a film on relationships and is quite romantic and in a happy space. The thought of the film is far ahead of its time. It is pretty cool and out there. Moreover, since I have never worked earlier with Arjun Kapoor, our chemistry should interest the audience. We’re both excited about it.
On future plans
I am not competing with anyone at this stage. I am married, I am content. There isn’t too much that I want to give to a film. I am happy experimenting and films like Udta Punjab and Ki And Ka fall into that space.
